This project was actually a tooling recycling project. Head-Tyrolia had a complete injection-molding tooling set for a junior ski boot, including all shoe sizes, which was no longer in use. Fischer had no boot in the junior racing segment in their collection. Along with Head-Tyrolia we baited Fischer with the formally amended shoe, so that Head-Tyrolia got the contract to revise the HEAD tooling-set and make it a Fischer.

Racing technology at its minimal form. The central design feature of this binding is the minimal surface of the toe, that results from the combination of the spring housing with the brackets that hold the shoe. This formed the carbon-fiber monocoque, which viewed from above, reminds of the archetypal "Y-shape" of the first mechanical cited alpine bindings, yet includes the latest racing technology.

The goal in this project was to create a new binding construction platform for the main sales segment. The individual products based on this platform differ just by a few parts in order to minimize investment in tooling and to design a cost-efficient solution in the higher performance segment. The resulting products cover most of the product segment - from beginner to junior racers. The bindings will be sold as in-house brands HEAD & Tyrolia and in different adaptions by Elan and Fischer skis.

TYROLIA leaves the slope and accesses new areas. The "Adrenalin" freeride ski binding is the first ski binding with a walking-mode, manufactured by the Schwechater Binding Company since the 1980s.
