SX & LX Binding Platform

The goal in this project was to create a new binding construction platform for the main sales segment. The individual products based on this platform differ just by a few parts in order to minimize investment in tooling and to design a cost-efficient solution in the higher performance segment. The resulting products cover most of the product segment - from beginner to junior racers. The bindings will be sold as in-house brands HEAD & Tyrolia and in different adaptions by Elan and Fischer skis. The main focus was put on the functional structure of the binding. Due to the new kinematics, we highlighted and separated the levers that hold the ski boot. The top view of the LX toe is reminiscent of a bull's head, which symbolizes strength and rigidness for the upper performance segment. Distinctive screwing holes of the SX recreate the eyes of a fox, which symbolizes intelligence and maneuverability for the medium performance segment. The products are sold in different adaptations by Tyrolia, Head, Fischer and Elan.
